Trivial Pursuit - "Useless Facts"

Everyone’s favourite after-dinner board game comes to life in the mad world of Trivial Pursuit.
With a colour palette that reflects the 6 playing wedges, the TVC was designed to be sympathetic to the game box imagery and to pay homage to the retro nature of the family game. Penny Royal provided all the charming Animation, Sound Design and additional Post Production.
Carling Festival Postcards
Client: done & dusted
These cheeky little number was done with Done & Dusted for Channel 4. It has a vague nod to Monty Python style graphics but with more energy. We animated the whole piece using photographs (photomontage) to create a surreal and textural openning sequence to the show.

We created everything from the original source imagery, post production clean up and even the sound design.
Show & Tell

Penny Royal are proud to present the Title Sequence for E4's Chris Addison hosted comedy show "Show & Tell" which was shot and Directed in 2010 by Blac Ionica and edited in-house by our creative wizards.
The show first aired in September 2011 and has received brilliant praise.
Chiquita - "Acerola Berries"
Client: Ogilvy
We did all the post production on this stop motion project for Chiquita. The sequence was shot in reverse, so the oranges begin on the floor and find their way back to the log. We also solved what has been a significant dilemma for smoothie ads in the past - the dreaded blend. Instead of employing expensive equipment, we used two plates, one a bottle of smoothies and the other a bottle of fruit. Lay one over the other and, once animated, the fruit appears to magically blend in the bottle.
Chiquita - "Less is More!"

We produced all the animation and VFX for this Chiquita tv commercial. The most challenging shot was the pouring shot, this achieved with two plates, one of the stream of smoothie and another of the smoothie bottle apparently emptying, which was shot in reverse to avoid residue. All of the sound design and music for the “Less is More” ad were created by us in-house.
Innocent Smoothies "Big Recipe Felicity"

We did all the post production to two Innocent Smoothie commercials reflecting the honesty and simplicity of the brand. Filmed in a green screen studio to create the rolling hills, shooting the stop-frame stills on a Canon 5D. Working with Dan Germain and Richard Reed from Innocent was a pleasure, as was designing the sound for the ad - most of which came out of our sound designer’s mouth.
Russell Howards Good News
Client: Avalon Television
This is a 25 second Stop-frame Title Sequence for comedian Russell Howard’s debut TV Show for the BBC. The Title Sequence features a rough total of 150 card cut-out Russell’s, a good humoured Kate Silverton, music provided by Kasabian, and most importantly an upside down Panda smoking a pipe.
